Birth Debrief: Why it can hinder and alternative ways of supporting trauma

Co-presented by Clinical Psychologist, and author of 'Why Perinatal Health Matters' Mia Scotland, and the inimitable Mark Harris, Midwife of 20 years and author of “Men, Love and Birth”.

What you can expect from the day:

  •  Exploration of the evidence base behind debriefing for trauma, including why it can be ineffective, and how it can even  cause more harm.
  • What to look for, and when to refer on
  • Practical techniques for supporting people who have been traumatised by their births, drawing from NLP and psychology

This workshop is open to all professions who find themselves with couples who have been traumatised by birth, and who are looking for ways to help people move through the trauma.
